Stories

Field Notes & Anecdotes

Stories from markets, work, travel and culture.

Stories is where I write about lived experience: China, India, business travel, client meetings, cultural differences, sales lessons, mistakes, market observations and moments that changed how I think.

Some lessons do not come from books or frameworks. They come from being in a new country, sitting in a difficult meeting, watching how people negotiate, seeing how cities work, or realising that culture quietly shapes business decisions.

The kinds of stories I want to collect.

This section should make the website feel alive. It gives context to the frameworks and shows where the thinking comes from.

01

China Lessons

Stories about scale, speed, infrastructure, cities, consumer behavior, technology adoption and how China changed my worldview.

02

India Observations

Field notes on Indian markets, trust, ambition, business culture, regional differences and the country’s growth choices.

03

Client & Sales Stories

Lessons from enterprise sales, negotiations, leadership conversations, account planning, pursuits and relationship building.

04

Travel & Culture

Moments from travel, food, cities, people, language, rituals, habits and small cultural details that explain bigger systems.

Why stories matter

Experience often teaches what frameworks cannot.

A framework can explain a pattern. A story can show how that pattern feels in real life.

This is where I want to save moments that shaped my judgment: the meetings, markets, cities, conversations and observations that made an idea real.

01
Culture explains behavior

Business decisions are influenced by trust, hierarchy, speed, language, risk appetite and social context.

02
Markets teach humility

What works in one country, sector or company may fail completely in another setting.

03
Travel sharpens pattern recognition

Cities, infrastructure, consumer behavior and daily habits reveal how societies organise themselves.

04
Field experience creates judgment

Some business lessons only become clear after seeing deals, people and organisations up close.
